Braid slips in a clinch. Use a Palomar or uni on braid instead.
Avoid when
Slick braid, and hooks with a very large eye that the wraps cannot snug.

Schematic, follow the words.
Step 1
Pass the tag through the eye and wrap it around the standing line 5 times.

Pass the tag back through the small loop next to the eye.

Pass the tag through the large loop you just made.

Step 4
Wet the wraps and pull the standing line so the wraps stack neatly.

Trim the tag.
Follow the words, not the drawing. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- Using it on braid.
- Wraps that stack on top of each other instead of in a neat coil.
