Water Bowline

Form the first small loop.

Around the standing part and back down.

Step 5
Dress it. The working loop stays open.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- Skipping the extra hitch, which is then a plain bowline.
- Dressing it so the extra hitch sits away from the collar.
Used on
This knot is for hard baits more than a soft-plastic rig.
