This line
Use this uni version on braid. The plain arbor overhand slips.
Avoid when
A spool with no line over the knot. The first wraps of line are what keep it from spinning free.

Uni Arbor Knot

Step 1
Pass the line around the spool arbor.

Step 2
Form a uni loop around the standing line.

Step 3
Wrap the tag through that loop.

Step 4
Close the barrel.

Step 5
Pull the standing line so the uni slides down to the spool.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- A barrel that never gets slid down to the spool.
- Too few uni turns on braid.
