The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.

  1. Step 1

Pass the line through the eye and down the shank.

  2. Step 2

Form the hair loop past the bend and bring the line back up the shank.

  3. Step 3

Pass the tag back through the eye.

  4. Step 4

Tie the first stop on the hair, then a second stop above it for the second bait.

  5. Step 5

Pull the standing line until the hair length is what you want and the shank is tight.

Common mistakes

  • No stop on the hair, so the bait slides off.
  • A hair so long the bait never reaches the hook.
