The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.

  1. Step 1

Form a long loop and lay the tag beside the standing line.

  2. Step 2

Wrap the tag through the loop 1 times.

  3. Step 3

Finish 2 wraps. The loop is still large.

  4. Step 4

Pass the hook through the big loop.

  5. Step 5

Pull the standing line so the noose slides to the eye. Trim the tag.

Common mistakes

  • One wrap, which pulls through.
  • Trimming the tag before the noose has choked down on the eye.
