Non-slip Loop Knot
Schematic, follow the words.
Step 1
Tie a loose overhand knot and pass the tag through the lure eye.
Schematic, follow the words.
Step 2
Bring the tag back through the overhand knot.
Schematic, follow the words.
Step 3
Wrap the tag around the standing line 3 or 4 times.
Schematic, follow the words.
Step 4
Pass the tag back through the overhand knot, entering the same side it left.
Schematic, follow the words.
Step 5
Wet the knot and pull the tag, then the standing line, until the loop is the size you want.
Follow the words, not the drawing. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- A loop so large the lure tangles.
- The tag exiting the overhand on the wrong side, which slips.
Used on
This knot is for hard baits more than a soft-plastic rig.
