Berkley's double Palomar for Nanofil and other slick superlines. The doubled line ties a double overhand, then the hook passes the loop.
This line
This is the superline version of a Palomar. One overhand is the ordinary Palomar. This one takes a second pass.
Avoid when
A small eye. The doubled loop still has to pass, same as a Palomar. If it will not, use a Fish N Fool.

Nanofil Knot

Step 1
Double the line and pass the loop through the eye.

Step 2
Tie a loose overhand in the doubled line.

Step 3
Pass the doubled line through that overhand a second time.

Step 4
Pass the hook through the remaining loop.

Step 5
Wet the knot and pull both standing strands. Trim the tag.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- Stopping after one overhand, which is a Palomar, not this knot.
- Pulling the two standing strands unevenly.
