A braid-to-leader knot with one uni on the braid and two half hitches of the leader tag around the braid. Faster than an FG, bulkier than an Alberto.
Use it for

This line
Six to eight uni turns on the braid, then slide it to the leader hitches.
Avoid when
Calling it finished before the two hitches are snug against the uni.

Step 1
Overlap braid and leader.

Step 2
Form a uni loop with the braid tag around the leader.

Step 3
Wrap the braid tag through that loop.

Step 4
Close the braid barrel.

Step 5
Half-hitch the leader tag around the braid.

Step 6
Add a second half hitch, slide the uni against them, and trim.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- A uni on both sides. That is a double uni, not this knot.
- One hitch, which lets the leader tag slip.
