Heaving Line Knot

Step 1
Double the end back.

Step 2
Wrap the tag toward the bight.

Step 3
Pass the tag through the bight.

Step 4
Pull so the wraps bunch.

Step 5
The end should be heavy enough to throw.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- Too small to carry when you throw.
- Tying it in the middle of the line.
