    Overlap the lines.

  2. Step 2

    Tie the first overhand around the second line.

  3. Step 3

    Tie the second overhand around the first line, the other way.

  4. Step 4

    Slide the two knots toward each other.

  5. Step 5

    Seat them together and trim.

Common mistakes

  • Both overhands tied around the same line.
  • Leaving a gap between the two knots.
