Dropper Loop

Step 1
Make a loop in the middle of the line.

Step 2
Twist that loop around the line. 3 twists.

Step 3
Finish 5 twists.

Step 4
Push the loop through the opening in the middle of the twists.

Step 5
Pull both standing ends. The dropper loop should stand open.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- Pulling the standing line before the loop is through the center.
- Leaving the loop so long it wraps the main line.
Used on
This knot is for hard baits more than a soft-plastic rig.
