Constrictor Knot

Step 1
Wrap the rope around the object.

Step 2
Cross over the standing part.

Step 3
Tuck the tag under the cross.

Step 4
Pull both ends.

Step 5
The cross should trap the tag.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- Tying a clove hitch and expecting it to bind.
- Leaving the tag out of the cross.
