Chain Sinnet

Step 1
Make a slip loop.

Step 2
Pull a bight through that loop.

Step 3
Pull the next bight through the one you just made.

Step 4
Continue until the rope is shortened.

Step 5
The last bight is the lock. Pull the free end to spill the chain.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- Pulling a bight from the middle, which locks the chain.
- Using the chain itself as a fishing leader.
