Avoid when
A bend between two free ends. That is a sheet bend, not a becket.

Step 1
Pass the rope through the eye.

Step 2
Around the back of the eye.

Step 3
Tuck under the standing part.

Step 4
Dress the tuck.

Step 5
Pull the standing part.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- The tag left on the outside of the eye.
- Using it on a hook eye with fishing line.
