Step 1
Clip the sling to the carabiner.

Step 2
Wrap the sling around both the rope and the carabiner.

Step 3
Stack the wraps.

Step 4
The carabiner is the handle.

Step 5
Pull the sling to make it grip.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- The carabiner left out of the wraps, which is then just a coil.
- Clipping it to a fishing swivel and calling it a knot for line.
