Arbor Knot

Step 1
Pass the line around the spool arbor.

Step 2
Tie an overhand knot around the standing line.

Step 3
Tie a second overhand in the tag as a stopper.

Step 4
Pull the standing line. The knot should slide toward the spool.

Step 5
Seat it against the arbor. Wind line over it.
The drawing follows this tying order. Pause, step, or scrub to stay with the words. The standing line runs to the reel. The tag is the short end you trim. Skin-hook means the point lies flat in the plastic, not out where grass can grab it.
Common mistakes
- No stopper knot on the tag, so the overhand slips off the end.
- Forgetting to wind line over the knot.
